PHONICS – The Sound of Letters · Book 1

A first phonics workbook for children just beginning to recognise letter sounds. Book 1 introduces the simplest, most-used sounds — s, a, t, i, p, n — in the same order recommended by Jolly Phonics and the UK's Rose Report on early reading. These six sounds alone unlock dozens of real words like sat, pin, tap and pan, so children experience the joy of decoding from the very first week.

Each page is built around one sound: tracing the letter, identifying objects that start with it, and short blending exercises. The activities are short enough for a 10-minute home session — long enough to build muscle memory.

Best for ages 3–5 (Nursery / LKG) and any older child who hasn't yet been taught phonics formally.
